Died December 14, 1968, Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkanas.
Son of Theodore & Frances Sheppard Acklin.
Married Ruth McGowan, May 14, 1919, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Ira Acklin, 75, of Route 2 (Buford Road), a retired sawmill employee, died Saturday at Baxter General Hospital. He was a native of Missouri but had lived most of his life in Baxter County.
Mr. Acklin was the son of Theodore Acklin and Frances Shepherd Acklin. He was married in 1919 to Ruth Mcgowan. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at the Galatia Methodist Church Tuesday with Rev. Troy Melton of Mt. Home officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery, with the McClure Service in charge of arrangemsnts.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two sons, Jack Acklin and Iberian Acklin; a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Branscum, all of Mt. Home, and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lotus Franks, Lonnie Franks, Dean Martin, Ruben Hurst, Don Cockrum, Eldon Downing, Ed Pinkston, Lex McCracken and Jack Gregory.
