Funeral services of Dora Drucella Acklin, 83, of Mt. Home, who died Thursday at Baxter General Hospital, were held Saturday at the Roller Chapel with burial following in the Galatia Cemetery.
Mrs. Acklin was the widow of Arthur Acklin who died in 1958. Whe was born Nov. 13, 1889 at Dora, MO, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Alexander. Mrs. Acklin spent most of her life in the county.
She is survived by two son, Chester Acklin of Norfork and Tommie Acklin of Mt. Home; six daughters, Ester Everidge of Mt. View, Ruby Walker of Mt. Home, Trilba Jones of Cotter, Dolly Siau of Alexandria, LA, Mary Szegedy of Mt. Home and Lee Kirk of Gainesville, MO; one sister, Rebecca Grigg of Mt. Home; 44 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. A son Richard also preceded her in death.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Acklin, who was a hosewife, were Homer Hamilton, J.D. Gray, Charlie Johnson, Clyde Lance, Joe Stancil and Clinton Stancil. Brother Bill Richardson conducted the services with arrangements under the direction the Roller Funeral Home.
