Died August 2, 1972, Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Mrs. Essie E. Young, 73, of Norfork, widow of Jim Young, died Wednesday of last week at her home.
A Baptist, she was born Jan 2, 1889, Ava, MO and resided in Baxter County most of her life. Her husband died in 1967.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Young of Norfork and C.J. Young of Lewiston, ID; an adopted son, Johnny Goodman of Pomeroy, WA; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Dick of Chickasha, OK and Mrs. Lillie Jolly of Norfork; a brother, Joe Collins of West Plains, MO; a sister, Miss Lizzie Collins of Kansas City, MO; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at the Galatia Methodist Church, near Norfork by Rev. Paul Huskey, pastor of the Norfork Baptist Church. Interment was in Galatia Cemetery under the direction of the McClure Service.
Pallbearers were Tom Parnell, Chester Acklin, Lee Skidmore, Buster Neal, Charlie Honeycutt and Vance Pruitt.
