Mrs. Minnie Jane Nimmo, aged 73, of Norfork, wife of Joe Nimmo, died last Thrusday at a Calico Rock hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services were held at 2PM Sunday at the Galatia Methodist Chruch, east of Norfork, with Rev. Lee Anderson and Rev. Ella Anderson of Calico Rock officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery, under the direction of the McClure Service of Mt. Home.
Mrs. Nimmo was a native of Arkansas and a resident of Norfork since 1915. She was born Feb 7, 1891, the daughter of Richard and Nancy Rand Kerley. She was a member of the Methodist Chruch.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; three sons, R.L. of Huntsvile, TX, S.L. of Phoenix, AZ and L.E. of Alhambra, CA; an adopted son, Larry Gene Woody of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Silvertooth of Kansas City, MO and Mrs. Mabel Walker of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers were Carl Sheid, Gene Adams, Ed Pinkston, James Baker, Gene Horn and Paul Hogan.
