Funeral services for John D. Jolly of Norfork will be at 2PM today at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating. Mr. Jolly, 59, died Sunday at Baxter County Regional Hospital.
Burial will be in Galatia Cemetery with Bobby Parnell, Sylvester Parnell, Frank Tilley, James McClellan, Jerry Moody, Lynn Young and Louis Harris serving as pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife Lillie Mae, at home; his mother Bessie Purkings Jolly of Chicksha, OK; five brothers, Leeroy Jolly, Chilton Jolly and Gene Jolly, all of Chicksha, Eulas Ray Jolly of Washington and Harold Jolly of California; two sisters, Dovy Wheeler and Wanda Wright, both of Chicksha; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Acie Jolly, by two brothers and by one sister.
Mr. Jolly, a farmer, had lived at Norfork 13 years. He moved there from Chicksha. He was born April 20, 1924, at Greeville, Texas. He married Lillie Mae Young July 10, 1945, at Lawrence, Kansas. Mr. Jolly was a Protestant.
