CROWDER, Audrey JENKINS - Funeral services for Mrs. Audrey Crowder, wife of John Crowder, who died at the Crowder home near Sand Springs, Okla. on Thursday, November 25th, 1926, aged 30 years, was held early Friday afternoon at the home of Mr. Crowder's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Culver Crowder, southwest of Bentonville, attended by a large number of neighbors and other friends. Mrs. Crowder had been in ill health for a long time before the end. Some two years or more ago Mr. Crowder had given up his work as manager of a large apple orchard near Bentonville in order to take his wife to New Mexico, thinking a change of climate would restore her health but without avail. Returning here they soon moved to Sand Springs where Mr. Crowder is one of the managers of the Page farms and orchards. Mrs. Crowder was a daughter of Mrs. Amanda Jenkins, formerly of Bentonville, and was reared here. She is also a niece of Ed Stroud of this place. Besides her husband and three small daughters she is survived by her mother and three sisters, one of whom is Mrs. Joe Crowder of near Bentonville. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F.A. Bradshaw, pastor of the Vaughn Presbyterian Church, and interment made in the Barron cemetery near Vaughn.
