A memorial service for John Wesley Helton of Mt. Home will be at 2PM Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Cliff Prough officiating. Mr. Helton died Thursday (Nov 12, 1998) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was 85.
Born Oct 3, 1913, at Chastain, Mr. Helton was the son of Joe Greene and Sarah Lester Helton. He married the former Faye Daniel Feb 24, 1934, at Culp. He worked as a farmer and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He is survived by one son, Johnny Barton Helton and wife, Ella Mae, of Midway; one daughter, Mary Lee Orlando and husband, Dominic, of Mt. Home; three grandchildren, Johnny Mark Helton and Michael Timothy Helton of Midway and Pamela Marquita Bridgeman of Fordland, MO; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Burial will be private under the direction of Roller Funeal Home. Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
