Obituary
George Eugene Mellon, son of the late Amos Mellon and Lillie Clark Mellon, was born Arpil 30, 1941, in Norfork, Arkansas. He depareted this life on June 11, 2009,at Baxter County Memorial Hospital in Mt. Home, Arkansas, at the age of 68 years, one month, and 10 days. He was employed with the Eby Construction Company. George was a member of the Adams Masonic Lodge #164 in Norfork. He was of the Baptist faith.
George is survived by his finace, Beverly Boyd of Jordan; one son, Ricky Mellon of Jordan; six grandchildren, Lucinda Parnell, Ricky Mellon, Jr., Ashley Mellon, Toby Mellon, Timothy Clark and Desiree Clark; two brothers-in-law, Larry Moody of Jordan, Jerry Moody of Lone Star; on sister-in-law, Faye Moody of Dolph; former wife, Desie May Moody; best friend Don Farrier of Arkana, Arkansas and a host of other realtives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cleo Williams and one son Darren Mellon.
Funeral service will be Monday, June 15, at 10:00AM at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with David Williamson officiating. Burial will be a Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday June 14, from 6-8PM at the Calico Rock Chapel.
Pallbearers; Jerry Moody, Robert Skidmore, Larry Moody, Phillip Farmer, Earl Olsen, and Bart Condley.
Honorary pallbearers; Frank Tilley, Leroy Farrier and Warren Gragg.
