Baxter County native, Joe Sisk, 93, of Norfork died Thrusday at the White River Convalescent Home. A farmer, Mr. Sisk was born Sep 14, 1890 at Big Flat. He was a charter member of the Galatia Assemby Of God Church.
Survivors include five sons, Thurlo Sisk, Olgie Sisk and James Sisk, all of Norfork, J.T. Sisk of Gassville and Lodis Sisk of Bishop, CA; four daughters, Maxine Reynolds and Eddie Mae Alexander, both of Norfork, Velma Whitfield of Old Joe and Opal Mott of Independence, MO; one brother, Albert Sisk of Jacksonville; two sisters, Dessie Lawrence of Calico Rock and Zorette Freeman of Timbo; 29 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Mary Alice Saffel Sisk and Joseph Sisk; his wife Callie Melinda Sutterfield Sisk; four sons and two daughters.
Funeral services were at 10AM Saturday at the Galatia Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Larry Shipman officiating. Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery. Visitaion was Friday from 9AM to 9PM at Roller Chapel.
Pallbearers were Donnie Sisk, Michael Sisk, Vernon Sisk, Vincent Sisk, Joey Whitfield and Steve Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Hager, Miller Morris, Rudolph Parnell and Ralph Parnell.
Arrangements were by the Roller Funeral Home.
