ARTHURS, Zorada Ann MORTON - Zorada Ann Morton Arthurs was born in Prince Edward county, near Arlington, Virginia Feb. 18, 1830. She left Virginia with her parents when a year old and went to Missouri, when at the age of eight she went to Lynn county. She married W.T.D. Arthurs Sept. 14, 1848, coming to Arkansas in 1867, where she has lived until the time of her death, excepting one year in Iowa, which was the year of the surrender. She raised seven children, five daughters and two sons. Her husband and two daughters have preceded her to the better land. She leaves to mourn her Mrs. Fannie Rice of Pea Ridge, at whose home she died April 20, 1920 at the age of ninety years; John Arthurs and Mrs. Henry Holland of Elm Springs; Will Arthurs of Grove; Mrs. Anna Mayfield of Pea Ridge; forty-nine grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren. Her children have lost a loving mother but their loss is Heaven's gain. For the past five months she has suffered cheerfully and for weeks has brushed the dews of Eden, knowing the crossing was not far off.
