IN MEMORIAM

In memory of Mrs. J.E. Caples, who passed away Feb. 24th, 1936:

A living, faithful wife, mother and grandmother, kind and obliging neighbor, loved and bore her suffering so sweetly and patiently, never murmuring. All was done of her that loving hands could do. Her kind nurse, faithful, loving, aged husband and her two daughters were ever at her bedside to administer to her wants. She never spoke an unkind word of no one; fixed all rough places smooth for everyone. A good Christian woman well prepared to meet her Lord when he called. Our loss is her eternal gain. But, oh, how we will miss her! But we should not weep as those who have no hope. We will meet her again if we will only prepare as she did to meet our Lord when he calls.

Mrs. Caples was born in Lebanon, Tenn., on Sept 25th, 1855. She was 80 years, six months and four days of age at the time of her death.

She leaves an aged husband, two daughters, Mrs. H.V. Bemis of Tulsa and Mrs. E.T. Swenson of Bentonville. One daughter preceded her in death several years ago. She also leaves seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends to mourn her departure. She is gone but not forgotten – By one who loved her, Mrs. W. H. Fields.
