Born Big Flat, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Died March 20, 1989, Whiteville, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Son of Joe S. & Callie Melinda Sutterfield Sisk.
Graveside services were conducted with the military chaplain from the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council officiating. Graveside militay honors were conducted by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with Alley-White American Legion Post 52 serving as honor guard.
Pall pallbearers were Shannon Dwayne Beard, Tommy Hemberee, Cecil Chism, Charles Newland, Van Hudson and Carl Meeks. Honorary pallbearers include Hubert Beard, Dwayne Beard, Jack Whitfield, Gene Alexander, Alvin Reynolds, Thurlo Sisk, Lodis Sisk, J.T. Sisk and James Sisk.
He is survived by four brothers, Thurlo Sisk and James Sisk, both of Norfork, J.T. Sisk of Gassville and Lodis Sisk of Grangeville ID; three sisters, Velma Whitfield of Old Joe, Maxine Reynolds and Eddie Mae Alexander, both of Norfork; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother and one sister.
An area native, Mr. Sisk was born April 21, 1921 at Big Flat to the late Joe S. and Callie Malinda Sutterfield Sisk. He was a construction worker and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Sisk was a former member of the Norfork-Salesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8944.
