Eugene Harmon Horn, 67, of Norfork, a timber worker and a member of the Norfork Baptist Chruch, died Sunday at the Boone County Hospital at Harrison.
Mr. Horn was born March 26, 1908, in Van Buren County, the son of Henry Horn and Minnie Colston Horn. He was married in 1944 at Melbourne to Nora Dell Rosenbaun. The family moved to Norfork about 19 years ago from Mt. View.
Funeral services were held yesterday in the gymnasium at Norfork High School with Rev. Carl White, assisted by Rev. Tom Casey, officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were T.R. Chastain, Howard Jeffery, C.B. Finley, Marvis Sherrill, Larry Woody, and Paul Hill. Honorary pallbearers were E.F. Boatman, Tom Parnell, E.C. Rodman, J.E. Loosey, James Hughes, Gamaliel Jones, Roe Whitfield, Calvin Murphy, Calvin Walker, Calvin Lively, Alan Walton and Troy Melton.
Survivors in addidtion to his wife, at the home, included two sons, E.G. Horn of Flippin and Henry Horn of Norfork; six daughters, Miss Jesse Horn at home, Mrs. Betty Jean Whitehead and Mrs. Nora Dean Parnell, both of Norfork, Mrs. Deloris Carroll of Irving, TX, Mrs Allene Jones of Austell, GA and Mrs. Patricia Blades of Flint, MI; three brothers, Claude Horn of Kansas City, MO, Erving Horn of Yellville, Lum Horn of Cline, TX and Harry Horn of Hot Springs, TX; two sistes, Mrs. Shine Richardson of Baytown, TX and Mrs. Veta Lemon of Adrian, MO; 18 grandchildren; and seve great grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be given to the Arkansas Baptist Home for Children at Monticello.
