Herman the son of Sylvester Vestern Doyle and Clara B. (Penn) Doyle. Ruby the daughter of John Maxwell and Bamma (Arnold) Maxwell.
Ruby Lorena Maxwell Doyle 20 Dec 1919 - 17 Aug 2009
Ruby Lorena Maxwell Doyle, age 89 of Strawberry died Monday, August 17, 2009 at a Jonesboro hospital. She was born December 20, 1919 at Nelsonville, Arkansas to John and Bamma Maxwell. She had worked at retail stores in St. Louis, Missouri and Santa Paula, California, she worked as a grader in the orange and lemon packing companies in Fillmore, Santa Paula, California and Coachella, California and worked at Batesville Manufacturing before retiring. She was a member of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Strawberry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Jim Arnold, her husband, Herman Doyle, one son Jerry Doyle, a half brother, James N. Arnold, two step brothers Treavor Arnold and Melvin Arnold, one sister Beulah Durham, two step sisters, Junibell Norman and May Griffey and one grandson, Michael Clinton.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Clinton of Strawberry, a half sister, Marie Holland of Bridgeton, Missouri, five grandchildren, Gary Clinton of Strawberry, Nancy Anger of Southgate, Michigan, Julie Bethel of Mineola, Missouri, Jeremy Doyle of New Florence, Missouri and Amanda Hildebrand of New Florence Missouri, one daughter-in-law, Donna Doyle of Mineola, Missouri, eleven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
Funeral services will begin Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Craig Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery located at Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Doyle, John Hildebrand, Rick Bethel, Gary Clinton, J. C. Wells and M. A. Griffey.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Anger and Steve Wells.
