James Robert Loosey, 52, of Oxford died Monday, July 31, 2006, in Oxford.
Born June 4, 1954, in Mt. Home, he was the son of James Edward 'Byrd' Loosey and Elwanda Betty Ruth Gray Loosey. He served in the US Army. He worked in concrete construction building dams and was a boiler maker.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Ann Lawson Loosey; three sons, Gerald Villneff of Oxford, Troy Roberts of Pineville and Darrell Roberts of Salem; a daughter, Ginger Villneff of Oxford; his mother of Calico Rock; two brothers, Jackie Loosey and Noel Geen Loosey, both of Calico Rock; four sisters, Betty Copes and Janda Powell, both of Pineville, and Darlene Van Drimmelen and Cynthia McDonald, both of Calico Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Johnathan Roberts.
The funeral will be at 2PM Wednesday at Old Galatia Chruch in Old Joe with Donny Speaks officiating. Burial will be in Old Galatia Cemetery in Old Joe under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Villneff, Troy Roberts, Darrell Roberts, Matthew Sutterfield, Dewayne Sutterfield and Jimmie Dale Horton.
Honorary pallbearer is Harvey Loosey.
Visitation will be from 1-2PM Wednesday at the church.
