Mrs. Chessie E. Wadkins, 60, a housewife of Norfork and a lifetime resident of the county, died Sunday, Jan 28, at San Antonio, TX. She was the widow of the late William E. Wadkins and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Devon Blanchard of Pine Bluff and Gary Lee Wadkins of Norfork; a brother, Henry Hager of Norfork; three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Harvey and Mrs. Maude Parnell, both of Norfork, and Mrs. Ezzie Stark of Thayer, MO; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Wadkins, the daughter of the late Dow Hager and Louellen Adams Hager, was born at Norfork on June 14, 1907. She had been widowed since 1956.
Funeral services were conducted last Thrusday at the Galatia Cemetery, near Norfork, with Bro. Bill Richardson of Mt. Home Chruch of Christ officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery, with McClure Service in charge of arrangements.
