Hazel Frances Skidmore, daughter of the late John Skidmore and Willie Powell Skidmore, was born August 13, 1912. She departed this life on February 1, 2009, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 96 years 5 months and 19 days. She was united in marriage to Lee Skidmore in October of 1932, and to this union two children were born. She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law
Maydeen and Carrel Caststeel of Mt. Home; four grandchildren, Becky O'Neal of Culpepper, Virginia, Derek Skidmore of New York, Brian Skidmore of New York and Neal Skidmore of Colorado; six grandchildren, Robby Tolliver of Gassville and five others living in New York; and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Robert Lee Skidmore, two brothers, Sid Skidmore and Arch Skidmore.
Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, February 4, at 11:00AM at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
