Lenford J. Haney, 76, of Norfork died Monday (Aug 1, 1994) at his residence.
Graveside services will be 10AM Thursday at Galatia Cemetery with the Rev. Troy Melton officiating and military graveside services by the North Arkansas Veterans Council Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 3246. Visitation is from noon to 9PM today at Roller Funeral Home.
Mr. Haney was a lifetime area resident, born March 9, 1918, at Advance. He was a stone mason for the US Corps of Engineers until his retirement. He served in the US Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post 8944 of Norfork and a lifetime member of the Ozard VFW Post 3246.
Survivors include four daughters, Marcia Haney, Barbara Ann Jeffery, Diana R. Hickman, and Rita N. Haney all of Mt. Home; three brothers, Orville W. Haney of Spokane, WA, Lesille R. Raney of San Jose, CA and Thelmar Jay Haney of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Opal Fay Moody of Action, CA and Martha Ann Pittson of El Cetro, CA; three grandchildren, Lee Sanders, Kyle and Kolt Jeffery, all of Mt. Home; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dell Cunningham Haney, both parents, Euria K. and Roxie A. Davis Haney and a sister.
Memorials may be made to the Denver Roller Radiation Treatment Center, a division of CARTI, in care of Baxter County Regioal Hospital.
