Services for Dickie Davis of Ozark, MO, will be at 10AM Monday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Davis died Wednesday (Aug 28, 1996) at Ozark, MO. He was 58.
Visitaion will be from 9AM-9PM Sunday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery.
Formerly of Mt. Home and DeSoto, Texas, Mr. Davis had been a Ozark resident for 28 years. He had been a resident of Mt. Home from 1974-1985. He owned and operated Davis Motor Co., a pre-owned car dealership, and Davis Quick Stop in Gassville and Baxter Realty in Mt. Home.
He was born Oct 9, 1937, at Meridian, MS, a son of the late Ford and Viva Lee Davis. He and the former Peggy Joyce Dutton were married Aug 18, 1994, at Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and creating businesses.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Joyce Davis of the home; a son, Derek Davis and wife Kim of Sparta, MO; a daughter, Darrah Pitchford and husband, Michael, of Ketchikan, Alaska; two brothers, Terry Davis of Collinsville, MS, and Ben Davis of Purvis, MS; a sister Sue Ellen Gipson of Collinsville, MS; two step daughters, Rebecca and Heidi Dolan; and tree grandchildren, Trey Davis of Sparta, MO and Kaleb and Justin Pitchford, both of Ketchikan, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mettis Cunningham Davis.
