Victim of murder at the hands of Dr Henry L Southerland with 5 gunshot wounds in the back while preparing a body of a neighbor in a church when Dr Southerland came in. Jesse reached for his bag to leave when shot. Dr. Southerland was not convicted.
(Criminal Record, Madison County Circuit Court has State of Arkansas vs. Dr. Henry S Southerland for rape and Murder in the Second Degree. Grand Jury brought Murder Indictment)
