Ervin Foster, 71, a native of Norfork, died Sunday at Calico Rock Medical Center. He was a laborer and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Foster was born Mar 14, 1907, in Culp, to the late Francis and Julia Fowler Foster. He was married in 1929 in Izard County to the former Lena Neel.
Suvivors include his wife of the home; four sons, Noel Foster and Bill Foster, both of Norfork, Roy Gene Foster of Columbus, IN and Bob Foster of Tulia, Texas; three daughters, Beaterns Coursey of Keller, Texas, Erma Teague of Calico Rock and Patsey Akins of Shuttuck, OK; one brother, Ben Foster of Mt. Home; one sister, Opel Wake of Willow Springs, MO; 24 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Irvena White of India, CA.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Norfork, officatiate by Rev. Hapul Huskey.
Pallbearers were Virgil Wilbur, Dwight Teegarden, Noel Teegarden, James Wilbur, Ed Teegarden and Lloyd Lester.
Interment took place at Galatia Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Mt. Home.
