GANN, James Walter - James Walter Gann was born Aug. 10, 1878 and departed this life June 4, 1933 at his home near Bayless at the age of 54 years, 9 months, 24 days. He was united in marriage to Emma Reed on Jan. 13, 1902. To this union were born five children, four of whom survive. They are: Lester, Woodrow and Forrest Gann and Mrs. Opal Mahurin. He spent most of his life in this section of the country. He had many friends to mourn his loss. He was an honest and upright citizen and was loved by every one. He professed faith in Christ when a young man of 22 years and lived a devoted Christian life to the end. Besides his widow and four children he leaves to mourn his loss five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
