CUNNINGHAM, T.J. - T.J. Cunningham, well known farmer on Sugar creek north of Bentonville, died at his home Sunday afternoon after a short illness of pneumonia following influenza. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the residence by Rev. G. Lyle Smith, pastor of the Christian church and interment was later made in the cemetery. Mr. Cunningham was born in Pittsfield, Illinois June 20, 1862 and came here some fifteen years ago and has since become one of the most prominent men in his community. All of the immediate family were present at the funeral, his daughter, Miss Sadie, having arrived from Washington state where she was teaching school. Five members of the Cunningham family were stricken with the influenza last week but they are on the road to recovery.
