*Obituary (as written)
Benton County Democrat
Thursday, May 5, 1910
BUTLER, Mary A. SANDERSON - Mary A. Butler {nee Sanderson} was born in Fayette county, Kentucky November 26, 1834 and died at the home of her son, John A. Butler, in Muskogee, Okla. April 28, 1910 at 12 o'clock; age seventy-five years, five months and two days. She was twice married. She was married to her second husband fifty-four years ago. There were born to them seven children, three of whom still live. She came to Arkansas in 1881 where she made her home until a few months ago when she went to Muskogee, Okla. She had been somewhat ill for a month before her death and remarked several times that she would not live long. She was happy to have all her children near her for the first time in years and said she wanted to die while they were with her. She was converted in girlhood and lived a true life. At the time of her death she was a member of the Christian Church. She died in the faith and went home to be forever with the Lord and her loved ones in Glory. She leaves her three children, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; besides the many other friends to mourn for her. Her body was brought to Bentonville for interment. Appropriate funeral services were held at the cemetery and we laid her remains to rest until the morning of the resurrection. The family has the sympathy and prayers of many friends. R.E.L. Bearden.
