*ALMA VIVIAN HUDSON, more affectionately known as Bib or Bibby, at the age of 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, December 9, 2018, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Hudson was born on April 19, 1924, in Rolla, Missouri. Mrs. Hudson was from Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to her death, Mrs. Hudson lived in Sherwood and North Little Rock. Earlier in life, Mrs. Hudson also lived in Jonesboro, Paragould, Wilson, and Walnut Ridge.

Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Delle McDowell, eight brothers and sisters, her husband of 52 years, Charles (Charlie) Hudson, her son James (Jim) Hudson (Pamela), and one grandson Christopher Hudson.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by one younger sister, Jenny Boyd (Jack) of Joplin, Missouri, daughter Claudia Hudson-Howard (Sam) of Fairfield Bay, Daughter-in-Law, Pamela Hudson of Little Rock, 3 Granddaughters Cara Hudson-Owen (Heath) of Nashville, Tennessee, Lauren Howard-Nicolle (Bryan), of Conway, Emily Hudson of Little Rock, 1 Grandson Trevor Hudson of Little Rock, and 3 great grandchildren, Stella Owen and Hudson Owen of Nashville, Tennessee, and Vivian Hudson of Little Rock. Mrs. Hudson is also survived by a host of beloved and cherished nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hudson was married to her late husband, Charles (Charlie) Hudson for 52 years prior to Mr. Hudson’s death in 1993. Together they lived through and survived World War II, raised two children, loved on and cherished their grandchildren and great grandchildren, owned and managed Hudson Dairy in Paragould, their cattle farms in Pulaski and White Counties, and owned and managed C. H. Equipment Company, Inc. in Little Rock. Mrs. Hudson devoted her entire adult life to her husband and family, and worked alongside her husband in their businesses. She was the epitome of the loyal and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Hudson was the role model for the pure and clean life style. Only pure words were ever heard from her mouth. Mrs. Hudson was well read, an avid reader, and belonged to various book clubs. Mrs. Hudson loved to listen to country music and enjoyed watching talent shows. Mrs. Hudson always took pride in her appearance and always looked forward to her standing weekly appointments with her hair dresser. Mrs. Hudson was an awesome cook and will be fondly remembered for her Sunday evening meals that would have fed the entire neighborhood, her gigantic and scrumptious egg rolls, her luscious and second to no other German Chocolate Cake, her divine melt in your mouth Million Dollar Christmas Fudge, and her abundant fruit cakes that the family enjoyed for months after the Christmas Holidays. Mrs. Hudson took joy in serving and making sure everyone had plenty to eat. She was the family’s Iron Chef Food Star!

Mrs. Hudson was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, in Little Rock.

Mrs. Hudson’s work on earth is done and one can only imagine the reunion as she is now resting high on that mountain with her beloved husband.

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Lakewood Health and Rehab in North Little Rock for the devoted care, love, and respect they bestowed upon Mrs. Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church - Shut-In Ministry, the Glaucoma Research Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or the National Osteoporosis Foundation.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 9:00 A.M. officiated by Reverend Jeffery Hampton, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn Drive, Little Rock. Reception will immediately follow.

Interment will be at 1:00 P.M., at Lawrence Memorial Park, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
