LARGENT, W.S. - (from Bentonville A.O.U.W. Guide, Oct. 1st} Our readers will remember an article in the August Guide in which we spoke about the death of the 4-year old child of W.S. Largent, a member of Hermosa Lodge No. 132 A.O.U.W. of Hermosa, South Dakota. The kindness and brotherly fraternity extended to Bro. Largent and family, though strangers in a strange land, by the Bentonville A.O.U.W. boys, caused the family to conclude to stay at Bentonville as Bro. Largent could get employment here: but little did he and his family think that in a few months the devoted father and loving husband would be laid away in the same cemetery beside his little child which had so lately preceded him. Friday evening September 27th at 5 o'clock, Bro. Largent passed away after an illness of three weeks, leaving a loving wife and four children to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday at 2 p.m. under the auspices of the A.O.U.W. and a large number of friends. Bro. W.S. Largent was born Sept. 14, 1850 and was 45 years old at the time of his death.
