With the close of the war he left Michigan and moved to Ohio. It was during his life in Ohio that he met and married Mrs. Elizabeth Larrow. Later he moved to Illinois and from thence to Kansas. After a sojourn in that state he came to Arkansas where he located in Bentonville and where he has lived for nearly forty years. He was a member of the Christian church, although he had been unable to attend for a number of years, and the local Order of Odd Fellows. Flanigan of Bentonville, Mrs. W.M. Watkins of Webb City, Mrs. Bert Spence of Whitfield, Okla. and Mrs. Lydia Banks, Dixon, Tenn., and one step-son, George Smith of Bentonville.
