Delfia Savannah Fry was born at Savannah, Georgia December 23, 1852, and died at her home in Spring Valley neighborhood, seven miles southeast of Gravette, May 9, 1915. She was married to Rev. Samuel Jones in 1882 and was a member of the Baptist church for over 45 years and was a help to her husband in establishing Christianity. Two sons and three daughters mourn the loss of this mother, besides the deceased leaves a devoted husband and several grandchildren. The children are: Wm. T. Jones, Kansas City; Otis of Gravette; Mrs. Mary Young of Kansas City; Mrs. Pearl Timberlake of Texarkana; and Mrs. Lulu Wiseman of El Paso, Texas. In 1883 Mrs. Jones and husband moved to Missouri, next to Kansas and to Arkansas fifteen years ago where she lived until the death angel came to bear her spirit homeward. She devoted two hours to prayer in the interest of her family that life's journey might be successful and that they might come to meet her in the great beyond. All that loving hands could do was done for her. Her children were with her except Will and Pearl, who were sick and unable to come. The family feel their loss deeply and we wish to extend them the sympathy of the community. C.N.L.
