The McMurray Cemetery is located about 3 miles east of Huntsville, just off of Highway 412. The cemetery has no tombstones with names on them, but originally had over 15 graves marked only by fieldstones. The McMurray family owned this property and there are deeds that reserve 3 acres for the cemetery, which used to be fenced. Currently there is no fence around it and most of the fieldstones are gone. Following is a list of McMurray family members who are buried here, according to family: Joseph McMurray (1795-1851); Ann CLARK McMurray (1807-after 1860); James Clark McMurray (1829-after 1880); Mary NEELY McMurray (1839-bef 1880); Elizabeth McMurray (b. 1830); Alexander McMurray (born 1832); Sarah Jane McMurray (1834-1921); Agnes McMurray (1837-after 1910); Susan M. McMurray (1840-after 1910); Joseph W. McMurray (1845-after 1910); Mary J. McMurray (1861-ca 1940); Robert William McMurray (1866-1948); Lucinda J. McMurray (1869-1941); Sterling McMurray (1872-1935); Rebecca McMurray (1879-ca 1939); Lottie Rebecca McMurray (1910-1915) and several McMurray Infants.
