Erskine J. B. Pigg, 73, of Hampton, died Tuesday February 3, 2009 at Life Touch Hospice in El dorado. Born September 30, 1935 in Lincoln County, TN, he was a son of the late Clarence and Dona Lindsey Pigg. He was married March 7, 1956 to his wife, Idell Fern Porter Pigg. He was a truck driver. Mr. Pigg was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Erskine Pigg; sisters, June May Barnett, Ruby Mitchell, Juanita Satterfield, Birdie Pigg. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Donie Williams and husband Odie of Camden, Debbie Biggs and husband Jerry of Hampton, Paula Lee and husband Mike of Hampton, Carol Harper of Arlington, TX; five brothers, Earl Clutts of New Market, AL, Goldie Pigg and wife Jean of Hazel Green, AL, Jerry Pigg and wife Liz of Hazel Green, AL, Clarence Pigg and Betty of Elora, TN., Roger Pigg and wife Sammy of Fayettville, TN; three sisters, Kattie Shelton of Huntsville, AL, Clara Brown of Huntsville, AL, Judy Simmons and husband Ron of Kelso, TN; twelve grandchildren, Michael Williams, John Williams, Justin Williams, Jeremy Biggs, Eric Wiser, Jason Fritts, Aaron Fritts, Kimberly Neal, Cortney Heath, Heather Lee, Mathew Lanley, Austin Lanley; twelve great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday February 7, 2009 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Higgs and Rev. Gene Boyette officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery.
