Mrs. Wilma Louise Burrow Baty of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. She was born January 12, 1941, in Atawah, AR. The daughter of Jess Blunt and Birdie Johnson Blunt.
Mrs. Baty resided in Walnut Ridge most of her life and was a dedicated employee of the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab where she worked as the Housekeeping Supervisor for 30 years before retiring. She was of the Pentecostal belief. She also loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Baty was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Cecil Burrow; her second husband, Cleo Baty; one daughter, Brenda Smith; one sister, Marie Bullock; and one brother, Billy Paul Holmes.
She is survived by four daughters, Peggy Green and husband Anthony, of Hoxie, Lori Yarbro and husband John, of Jonesboro, Kathleen Madden, of Hoxie, and Barbara Baker and Chris, of Gamaliel; two brothers, Jerry and William Holmes; three sisters, Jeanette Goff, Linda Burnett, and Shirley Holmes, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Tonya Burroughs, Jami Wells, Shanda and Shawn Green, Misty Hilson, Amber Fears, Nicholas Barnett, Deana McArthur, and Brittany Sellers; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Pastor Johnnie Ruth Owens officiating. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Price Burroughs, John McArthur, Clayton Reese, Garren Fears, Hunter and Skyler Burrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Sellers and Jaren Hilson. Interment will follow in the Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M.
