I.L. Barlow, a former resident of Hiwasse, died at his home in Anderson, Mo. January 30, 1932 at the age of 61 years. Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Sunday afternoon, the Rev. A.M. Riggs, pastor of the Gravette M.E. Church, conducting the services. He was buried by the side of his first wife in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mr. Barlow came to Benton county from Anderson about 40 years ago and engaged in drilling wells around Hiwasse and Gravette. He later engaged in farming near Hiwasse and lived there until a short time ago when he moved back to his old home. Mr. Barlow was twice married, his first wife being Miss Altha Rotrammel, who he married in 1887. She died several years ago. In 1917 he married Mrs. Nettie Edwards, to whom were born two daughters, Addie Marie and Betty Lou, who, with his widow survive. He is also survived by Mrs. Roy Bates of Hiwasse and Guy Barlow of Joplin, surviving children of his first wife.
