Tollie Chester Berry, 86

WALNUT RIDGE -- Tollie Chester Berry, 86, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro.

He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and was a longtime member of the Free Street Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Louise Buchanan Berry; brothers, Aubrey, Marty, Robert and J.L. Berry; sisters, Opal McNutt and Doleda Doremus; and a great-grandchild, Paula Deanna Berry.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Snoda Mosher Berry of the home; sons, Chester Ray Berry and wife Sharon of Pensacola, Fla., and Reggie Dean Berry and wife Kathleen of Kennesaw, Ga.; four grandchildren, Phil Berry and wife Debbie, Dennis Berry and wife Colleen, Dee Dravens, Jennifer Morrison and husband Jonathan; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Free Street Church of Church with Don House and Lloyd Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation is from 5:30-8 p.m. today in House-Gregg Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jon­athan Morrison, Chris Henson, Dennis Berry, Harry Allessio, Bill McNutt, Ronald Mosher, Ricky Ditto, Mike Henson, Bill Reid, Brett Ditto and Chad Ditto.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tollie and Snoda Berry Scholarship Fund, Crowley's Ridge Academy, 606 Academy Drive, Paragould 72450.

Snoda Mosher Berry, of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life, Monday November 20, 2023 at the age of 99 years, 11 months, 18 days.

She was born December 8, 1923 in Walnut Ridge, AR to James Phillip Mosher and Mattie Lindsy Sharp. She was a lifetime resident of Walnut Ridge, a homemaker, and long-time member of the Free Street Church of Christ.

Snoda was preceded in death by her husband, Tollie Chester Berry (passed August 22, 2009) whom she married August 13, 1942; brother, John L. Mosher; sisters, Lois Henson, Mary Jane Alessio, and Geraldene Reid; great-grandchild, Paula Deann Berry; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Berry.

She is survived by sons, Chester Ray Berry of Hiawassee, Georgia and Reggie Dean Berry and wife Kathleen of Kennesaw, Georgia; four grandchildren, Phil Berry and wife Debbie, Dennis Berry and wife Colleen, Dee Draven, and Jennifer Berry Morrison and husband Jonathan; nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday November 26, 2023 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral services begin at 2:00PM Sunday November 26, 2023 immediately following visitation with Phil Berry officiating.

Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Cemetery in Walnut Ridge, under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home.
