Mrs. Katie A. 'Tootie' Weaver, age 71 of Gassville passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born June 24, 1942 in Albert Lee, Minnesota to Walter William Manuel and Ida Marie Kerns Manuel. She married Melvin Earl Weaver on August 6, 1960 in Springfield, Missouri.
She enjoyed gardening and loved all kinds of flowers. She especially loved to read.
She is survived by 3 sons: Randall (Tina) Weaver of Mountain Home, Ronald (Debbie) Weaver of Gassville and Bill (Carolann) Weaver of Flippin; a daughter: Susan (Barrett) Johnson of Fairbanks, Alaska; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a sister Letha (Bill) Burnett of Springfield, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin Earl Weaver, and a sister, Peggy Newton.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 PM Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Roller Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service, conducted by Reverend Louis Stephens will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Cotter. Interment will follow.
