Marie Nettles of Opelika, Ala., and formerly of Murfreesboro, the Nathan community, died Jan. 3, 2008. She was born in Calhoun County on Nov. 2, 1913 to James Thomas Winters and Ollie Lucinda Harrison Winters.
She is survived by a son, Robert Graham Nettles Jr.; a daughter, Ganata Jo Nettles; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Graham Nettles Sr.; and two grandchildren, Russell Robert Nettles and Michael Guy Nettles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 702 Avenue A, Opelika, Ala., 36801.
Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home of Opelika and Proctor Funeral Home of Camden are in charge of arrangements.
Graveside services for will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeside Cemetery near Camden. Al Terrell will officiate.
