July 15, 1884 - February 27, 1936
Mrs. Ida Purifoy Bearden, aged 51, died at her home of her daughters, Mrs. Roy Davis at Cullendale Thursday afternoon. Her husband J. P. Bearden died a few months ago here. Mrs. Bearden was born near Chidester on July 15, 1884, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Purifoy. She was married in 1901 to Mr. Bearden. Funeral services were held at the Davis home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at Lakeside, seven miles east of Camden. The Rev. J. P. Purvis, pastor of the First Christian church officiated. Proctor funeral home was in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Willim Stone, of Camden; Mrs. Forest Phillips of Clarksville; and one son, Everett Bearden of Camden, one sister, Mrs. Callie Runnels of Camden, Rt. 3; one brother, Wesley Purifoy of Louann; and three grandchildren.
