JACOB BERNARD PENN - LYNN, AR
JACOB BERNARD PENN, 95, a lifetime resident of Lynn, Ark., died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge, Ark. He was born Dec. 4, 1905 the son of the late William Franklin and Hattie Mae (Cole) Penn.
He was married to Virginia Lucille Martin on March 21, 1944 in Eaton, Ark.
He was president of the Lynn School Board for over 25 years; was a self-employed farmer, and a member of the Lynn Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Penn of the home; one daughter, Loretta Williams of Strawberry, Ark.; one son, J. B. Penn of McLeon, Va.; one sister, Leone English of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Polly Williams and Kyle Williams of Jonesboro, Ark., and Penny Penn of Cummins, Ga.; one great-grandchild, Daniel Greene of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
Services were Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Lynn Church of Christ with Rev. Richard Carlson officiating. Burial was in the Old Lebanon Cemetery in Lynn with arrangements under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Services, Inc. of Walnut Ridge, Ark.
