Susan Jackson was born about 1808 in Georgia. Her mother's name was Barbara/Barbary, but her father's name is not known. The stonecarver evidently realized there wasn't going to be enough room on the stone for her name, and left the 'n' off Susan. She is buried north of her husband, Peter Garner. Her death date is not known; she was living at the time of the 1880 census, but was dead before the 1900 census.
