BENTONVILLE-- Kenneth W. Sluyter, 73, of Bentonville died Aug. 2, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born June 13, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., to Charles and Trella Hunter Sluyter. He was a rancher and worked in real estate. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He moved to the area in 1994 from Newalla, Okla. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Garza.
Survivors include his wife; seven sons; three daughters; one brother; one sister; 33 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corner Stone Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Bentonville.
