Rev. Stanley Wilson Manus, 59, Bella Vista, died suddenly at his home Jan. 10. Born April 8, 1916, at Booneville, he was a real estate broker, veteran of World War II and a retired Baptist minister. He pastored several churches in Arkansas and spent 20 years in Fellowship Baptist Home missionary work. He moved to Bella Vista in 1969 and was a member of Bella Vista Village Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Askins Manus, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Steve DePinning, Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Stanley Manus Jr., Waverly, Iowa, Dave Manus, Bentonville, and Phillip Manus of the home; his mother, Mrs. Zala Mae Greenburg, Anderson, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Ophelia Hunter, Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers, Evan Marius, Tulsa, Okla., Leo Mathis, Tucson, Arix., and Thurman Manus, Corpus Christi, Tex.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church in Bentonville with Rev. J. C. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Dug Hill Cemetery under direction of Callison-Mckinney Funeral Home of Bentonville.
A memorial fund has been established at Bella Vista Village Baptist Church for the building fund.
