Robert Roy Mattingly, Sr., 72, of Jacksonville passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Baptist Springhill Hospital in North Little Rock. He was born June 12, 1935 in Mt. Vernon, Ind. to the late William Chester and Elizabeth Ann Stone Mattingly. On April 9, 1959, he married Olar Fay Miles in Little Rock. Mattingly served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years until retiring in 1981. For the next 22 years he served as the Safety Coordinator for Pathfinders until he retired in 2005. Mattingly was a charter member of McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by a sister and six brothers. He is survived by his wife, Olar Fay Mattingly of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Kay and Michael Durham of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Robert Roy and Gayle Mattingly Jr. of Aurora, Mo., Luther and Sherri Mattingly of Conway; six grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Farrar of Greenwood, Ind.; brother, Harry Mattingly of Shelbyville, Ind. Funeral services were 1 P.M. on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at McArthur Assembly of God Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Robert Roy Mattingly, Jr. officiating. Interment followed at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park with full military honors. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.

Olar Fay Mattingly, 80, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma formerly of Jacksonville passed from this life on June 7, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born April 2, 1938 in Winston County, Alabama to the late Luther R. and Lilly P. Tidwell Miles. Fay was a founding member of McArthur Assembly of God Church.
She enjoyed quilting, fishing, word search puzzles, remodeling homes, working in her flower garden, and reading, but found her greatest joy in her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Robert R. Mattingly Sr.; siblings, James, Dick, Dee, Millard, Joseph, Willard, Aubrey, Nellie and Annie Miles.
Survivors include children, Janet (Eric) Stith of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Robert R. (Gayle) Mattingly Jr. of Aurora, Missouri, Luther R. (Sherri) Mattingly of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Sarah (Allan) Benson, Dylan J. Mattingly, Kayla (Adam) Smoot, Matthew Mattingly, Ashlee (Jonathan) Mizer, Kaitlyn (Michael) Palmquist, Cameron Stith, Shelby Stith, Brandy (Tom) Mattox, and Bradley (Misti) Stith; siblings, Oscar (Carolyn) Miles of Haleyville, Alabama, Howard (Juanita) Miles of Haleyville, Alabama, Helen King of Cabot and Mary Ann (Ricky) Miles of Haleyville, Alabama; several great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at McArthur Assembly of God Church with Pastor Marc Bateman officiating.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stith, Mark Pyzalski, Cameron Stith, Shelby Stith, Jeff Miles, Mark Miles, Adam Smoot and Kenneth King.
