BENTONVILLE — Marl D. Greer, 79, of Bentonville died Jan. 2, 1996, at Gravette Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1916, at Shumway, Ariz., to Thomas R. and Emma V. Denham Greer. He worked in construction and mining and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints. He moved to the area in 1979 from Gramby, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Greer of Bentonville; four sons, Gary E. Greer of South Carolina, Marl Shane Greer, Menlo Greer, Dorwin M. Greer, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; four daughters, Winona Denning of Las Vegas, Karen Menzelli of Nevada, Shari Williams of Bentonville and Anjanette Oldaker of Rogers; four stepsons, John Perry and Charles Perry, both of Rogers, Ronald Perry of Mount Morris, Ill., and George Perry of Neosho, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Donna Whitney of Harrison; one sister, Faye Pace of Salt Lake City, Utah; 38 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette with Bishop Dale Shumway officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery west of Hiwasse.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
