Roy S. Easley, 81, of Hiwasse, died Friday at Gravette. He was born Jan. 15, 1898 in Hiwasse and was a longtime resident of the area.
He was a retired farmer and was a veteran of both World War I and II. Mr. Easley is survived by a son, Lawrence Easley of Joplin; three brothers, Sam and Chester Easley, both of Hiwasse, and Lloyd Easley of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Edna Williams of Gentry, Goldie Duncan of Bentonville, and Adaline Tippit of Topeka, Kan.; 11 grandchildren ; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Church, with the Rev. Keith Sangwin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
