Rowena Duncan, age 73, of Indio, California died September 30, 1984. She was born at Bradford, Ark., Apr 14, 1911 and was a mail truck drover for six years and a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at Sugar Hill.
She was married to the late Leonard Petty and to this union two children were born.
A son, Oris Petty, a brother and her parents preceded her in death.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Fayotta Melson of Grandview, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Vera Barnes of Mountain View, Ark., and 11 grandchilddren.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at Crouch Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Long, Roy Green, Rex Blackwell, Lose Barnes, Rickey Barnes and Donald Thornsberry.
Honorary pallbearers were Carroll Hicklin and Larry Morgan.
