June 28, 1924 - August 13, 2005
Alden Joe Cowan, age 81, of Salus, Arkansas died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at his home. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Swain for over 30 years, a farmer, and enjoyed riding four wheelers. Survivors include his wife, Rose Cowan of Salus, Arkansas, 1 son, Perry Cowan and his wife Beverly of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 4 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Betty Cowan, 4 brothers, Walter, Brock, Abe, and Jack, and 5 sisters, Erna, Minnie, Mattie, Bell, and Alpha. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at Salus Church in Salus , Arkansas with the Reverend Clayton Rylee officiating. Burial will follow in Case Cemetery in Newton County, Arkansas.
