W. E. Burke, 63, of Rt. 4, Camden, died Monday. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Missionary Baptist Church in Locust Bayou. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. Mr. Burks was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Erma Mitchell Burke; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Oliver of Locust Bayou; one sister, Mrs. Orlin Hollis of Locust Bayou and four grandchildren. (Camden News - February 1, 1977)
