OLD MAN DIES
There was an old gentleman by the name of A. B. Russell came into this neighborhood about one month ago and was stopping on the W. M. Thornley place and had contracted to make ties for W. M. Thornley.
Mr. Russell bought a household outfit and took up his abode in an old house on the Thornley land.
On December 24th, 1923, he was found about 10 o'clock a.m. lying unconsious on the floor. A few of us laid him on the bed and sent for the doctor. The doctor came and gave him some medicine but he never regained conciousness and on December 25, passed away.
We found a few letters from some friends and sent a telegram to one of his nieces, Mrs. Belle Branham, Capron, Oklahoma.
Mr. A. B. Russell had $35.68 on his person which was used for burial expenses and doctors bill.
Mr. Russell was buried in Galatia Cemetery December 26, 1923.
