Son of James B. and Nancy Mahala McIntosh Lane.
Married Nancy Mildred Maddox, August 9, 1874, Macon County, Illinois.

James Ambrose Lane, 72, died Friday, December 11, 1925, in Baxter County, Arkansas.
He was born February 28, 1853, in Lawrence County, Indiana, to James B. Lane and Nancy Ann McIntosh Lane. He married Nancy Mildred Maddox on August 9, 1874, in Macon County, Illinois.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife; three sons, John Arthur Lane, Harrison Lane and Leonard Lane; three daughters, Emma Lawson, Mabel Purl and Minnie Rosson; and two brothers, John S. Lane and Sherman Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William W. Lane and Uriah T. Lane; and three sisters, Elizabeth Rosson, and Addie Lane.
Funeral services were conducted at the Galatia Chruch near Norfork with burial in the Galatia Cemetery.
