(No obiturary has been located for Leander H. 'Lee' Clark. This obituary was constructed with information from Mary Lee Lackey Nelson and from the Arkansas Death Record Index. Note: the tombstone at Lee Clark's grave incorrectly has a death date of August 1924. The Arkansas Death Record Index shows that he died August 3, 1923, in Baxter County.)
Leander H. 'Lee' Clark, 34, died Friday, August 3, 1923. He was born February 22, 1889, in Baxter County, Arkansas, to Alfred Marion Clark and Susan Catherine 'Kate' Burgess Clark.
He is survived by his wife, the former Effie Jane Moore; three sons, J.B. Clark, George Clark and L.H. Clark; one daughter, Katherin Clark; his father, Alfred Marion Clark; three brothers, Logan 'Loge' Clark, Frank Clark and George Clark; and four sisters, Mary Lackey, Clemetine Davenport, Stella Clark and Myrtle Johnson.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Catherine 'Kate' Burgess Clark; three brothers, William H. Clark, Fred Clark and Tom Clark; and three sisters, Emmer Cunningham, Virginia Clark and Ida Hager.
Funeral services were conducted at the Galatia Church near Norfork with burial in the Galatia Cemetery.
