June 18, 1900 - July 12, 1971
Mrs. Syble Dee Merritt, 71, of McNeil died in the Magnolia City hospital Tuesday. She was a member of the McNeil Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Jake Merritt of Camden, Charles Merritt of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Cranford of McNeil and Mrs. Opal Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Perry and Mrs. Luddie Wisdom, both of Athens, Texas; three brothers, Lide Burton, J. S. Burton and Corley Burton all of Camden. There are 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Lakeside Methodist Church with burial in the Lakeside Cemetery by Camden Funeral Service. The family will be at the Jake Merritt residence in Camden.
